This bowl is painted with Clackmannanshire glacier boulder clay and local flora. The clay is formed as the glacial deposits are pushed against the ancient Ochil Hills and turned under. Located higher up the Forth River than Grangemouth, the raw clay is cream and iron ochre in colour.
